We prioritise human engagement over list growth. For that we follow a few best practices for having our lists clean.

  1. Robot protection on sign-up forms.
  2. Robust email validation (domain verification, complaints and bounces monitoring, third-party database).
  3. Sign-up routine to remove inactive readers within a few weeks of signing up.
  4. Pruning inactive readers after a few months of inactivity.

Our goal is to generate the best return on investment for our partners. We don’t want to inflate our numbers through robots and inactive readers.
